Wings Chrome wireless IEMs launched at Rs 2,499

“The Wings Chrome uses 8mm Neodymium drivers in combination with micro-woofers to drive audio”
New Indian audio manufacturer Wings Lifestyle has launched its fourth personal audio gear — the Wings Chrome. The Chrome wireless in-ear monitors (IEMs) are priced at Rs 2,499, and will look to take a share of the burgeoning budget wireless audio market of India. While not being an established name in the technology and audio spheres, Wings Lifestyle has been targeting the most inexpensive segments of audio products to establish its presence in India’s audio market.
The Wings Chrome is powered by single, 8mm Neodymium drivers, which are further paired with micro woofers to produce better segregation of audio frequencies and stronger lower frequencies. The circuit gets 16-ohm resistance, which is pretty much standard for a pair of mobile wireless IEMs. It further gets Qualcomm’s clear voice capture (cVc) 6.0 passive noise cancellation standard, which should help provide clearer in-call audio and lesser ambient distractions. This standard, in turn, is part of the Qualcomm CSR8640 dual-ROM audio SoC that the Wings Chrome is utilising. The entire package is powered by a 110mAh battery pack, which Wings states is good enough for up to eight hours of playback time.
Despite being a budget product, the Wings Chrome is stated to come with a carrying pouch in its packaging, and also include three ear tip sizes for customers to find the right fit. It also gets the basic IPX5 rating, which makes it resistant to considerable water splashes as well as sweat. The IEMs are joint to each other only by a thin wire, which makes it more usable for longer periods, when compared to the heavier neckband style of wireless IEMs. The Wings Chrome also includes an in-line microphone and remote control, which can be used to accept or reject calls, and control playback and volume.
The Wings Chrome will be sold via Myntra and Amazon, and is now on sale at a slightly discounted price on both the e-commerce platforms.
