Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus prototype’s leaked image shows dual-front cameras

“While this image is only indicative in nature, the Samsung Galaxy S10+ render gives us an idea about the upcoming smartphone’s overall dimensions”
Samsung is gearing up for the launch of its next generation flagship series, the Galaxy S10 lineup. The flagship lineup for this year is expected to feature four smartphones instead of the usual two — a Galaxy S10 Lite, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Plus, and a limited-run Galaxy S10 5G. Now, courtesy of Slashleaks, a prototype variant for the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus has leaked on the internet, showing rather thick bezels.
The leaked prototype is very evidently not close to how the finished product is going to look. However, it does give us somewhat of an insight into the flagship, as well as affirming previous rumours that the front-facing camera unit of the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus will be a dual-camera unit. The display panel also seems pretty large, although despite the super-thin bezels, it is certainly a work-in-progress version, with Samsung almost certain to be using a dual-curved edge display on the Galaxy S10 smartphones. There is, however, not much else to report about the leaked image. The Galaxy S10 Plus appears to be running a camera test, although photographs of the phone’s rear have not been shared.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus will be the de facto flagship for Samsung in India in 2019, seeing that the Galaxy S10 5G will most certainly not be launched in the country. Recently 91mobiles showed renders of the Galaxy S10 Plus, with a quad-camera rear imaging unit like what was introduced with the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018). The phones are certain to be powered by either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 or Samsung’s own Exynos 9820 (depending on the market) and leaked screenshots have suggested that it will come with at least 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage. According to some reports, the Galaxy S10 lineup may feature up to 12GB of memory and 1TB of storage. While these are rather staggering claims, we would not put it past a realistic chance, with companies going for the extreme to stand out.

As has been the norm, the Samsung Galaxy S10 lineup is expected to launch just ahead of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, in February 2019. With launch not too far away, expect to see more information surface about the latest generation flagship smartphone, from the Korean giant’s stable.
